Seventeen! Seventeen!!!

Alright, so maybe it doesn't really matter until mum and da take me to Edinburgh to take my apparition test on Friday, but I don't care. It's my birthday and I am seventeen!!!

Yes!  I wrote my mum and da about going to London for break, and they said YES!!!  I turn seventeen just before break, too, so hopefully I'll have passed my apparition test by then and mum won't have to come with me, either.  Laurel, it is going to amazing!  (Now if only I didn't have two weeks of classes between now and then!)

I am so ready for Hogsmeade.  Thank Merlin I only have one class on Fridays!

Guess who has her cast off and is going to dance club (with the full permission of Madam Pomfrey)?

I-  I've been in the Hospital Wing since the match ended.  Pomfrey says my ankle is pretty bad.  There's strain enough from- from dancing- normally, but-
I shouldn't have insisted I go back in, after that hit.  But I was doing so well!  I just thought-

No dancing for-for two weeks.  Pomfrey's orders.

No quidditch, either, but- no dancing- I don't- I can't-

Cameron is here visiting, and, well- yesterday he gave me a promise ring and he told me that he loves me!  Please no one say it's too soon.  He actually had me speechless, and you all know that's near impossible.  I still can hardly believe it.

In other news, the ceilidh is a go!  This Friday, 30 December, at my mum's dance studio here in Auchmithie.  My da and his band will play, and there will be a caller to teach the dances through the night.  It'll start around 8pm, and go until we're too tired to dance anymore!  (Yes, Laurel, that is a challenge!)

If I could convince my da to host ceilidh (and I can just about guarantee he'd agree, he loves me), would anyone be interested in coming along?  A ceilidh's a sort of traditional Scottish dance party- a band gets together (my da plays pipes and drums and sings!), and there's a caller who'll teach all the dances to whatever they want to play.  It's easy, and it's fun, and you don't have to know how to do any of it in advance!  The dances are in couples or in groups, but most of them are progressive so you switch partners all around the room as you go!  Maybe on 30 December, so no one's New Years' plans are interrupted?  It'd be so much fun!

Alright, so that's not so terrible.  Next year will be brilliant when they aren't an awful hour of the morning, at least.

Why are we not having a winter dance?  I'd like a winter dance instead of mid-term exams.  Can we change that?  Or we should throw a dance of our own!  Dance club!  Yes?  Please?  Pretty please?

Also, Hogsmeade was wonderful.  And so is my boyfriend.
